From Angola with care

The best for you and for the future, with a minimum environmental impact

Our mission is to help improve your hygiene and health. We listen to your needs and we invest in solutions that respect the environment and in quality tests at international laboratories.

Proximity

Our research work starts in the field, where we listen to our consumers.

From product types to our choice of ingredients, everything derives from our proximity to consumers. We apply science and technology to each person’s real needs.

Environmental Commitment

Commitment to finding solutions that reduce environmental impacts to a minimum.

By setting up our factory in Angola, we can guarantee a reduction in CO2 emissions, reducing the pollution emitted in transport. Our packaging is designed to cause the lowest possible environmental impact, using recyclable materials and biodegradable products. The manufacturing equipment acquired for use in our factories is also certified as highly energy efficient.

Safety

All our products are safe.

Long before it was launched on the market in 2012, DayCare had defined strict safety and quality standards for its products. This commitment was assumed to guarantee that its products, formulas and ingredients are safe. All our cosmetic products comply with strict European Union legislation, including the provisions of Decree-Law 189/2008 of 24 September 2008 and Decree-Law 119/2009 of 18 May 2009 in Portugal.

Quality Control

Get to know the tests that we conduct to guarantee the quality and safety of our products.

Hydration Efficacy Test

Objective: to assess the moisturising efficacy of all Oasis, ProDerma and ProActive brand products, after a single application on skin.

Tests conducted at the Experimental Dermatological Unit of Universidade Lusófona of Lisbon, at the PhD Trials® Laboratory and at the Inovapotek Pharmaceutical Research and Development Laboratory.

Microbiological Robustness or Efficacy of Preservatives Test

Objective: to assess through tests, and in accordance with the acceptance procedure and standards applied in USP (United States Pharmacopeia), the preservative efficacy of Oasis, ProDerma and ProActive products, to prevent microbiological proliferation and/or contamination in cosmetics and/or personal hygiene products.

Objective: verification of the existence in the product of the necessary conditions for the bactericidal action of ProDerma products.

Tests conducted at the Egas Moniz Applied Microbiology Laboratory and at the Instituto Superior Técnico.

Comparative Performance Test

Objective: to compare through physical/chemical and microbiological analysis and laboratory tests, the quality, performance and comparative efficacy of Oasis, ProDerma and ProActive personal hygiene products, in comparison with other products on the market.

Tests conducted at Laboratório Inovador em Análises de Controlo de Qualidade and the Egas Moniz Applied Microbiology Laboratory.

Primary Eye Irritation Test

Objectives: observation of the effects of the products studied in order to assess their eye irritation potential.

Test conducted by Institut D’Expertise Clinique and by Laboratoires de Recherche et d’Expérimentation EVIC FRANCE.

Test of Cutaneous Compatibility and Absence of Sensitising Potential after repeated epicutaneous application (Human Repeated Insult Patch Test - HRIPT)

Objectives: to confirm the cutaneous compatibility and absence of sensitising potential of various personal hygiene products of the Oasis, ProDerma and ProActive brands, after repeated application on the skin under exaggerated experimental conditions.

Tests conducted at the Experimental Dermatological Unit of Universidade Lusófona of Lisbon and at the PhD Trials® Laboratory

Primary Safety Assessment Test – Single Patch Test

Objective: to confirm the primary cutaneous compatibility of Oasis, ProDerma and ProActive personal hygiene products, after a single application on human skin in experimental conditions that involve exaggerated exposure (patch), in comparison with a negative test (water).

Tests conducted at the Experimental Dermatological Unit of Universidade Lusófona of Lisbon and at the PhD Trials® Laboratory
